I guess I’ll be saving my nuggets this raffle :[
I’ve entered almost every single raffle to date. (Sans the very first one because I didn’t log in daily and missed it and one of the mini-raffles when we had a series of three, but the smaller prizes were expected for experimentation.)
I would be lying if I didn’t scan the prize list looking for a GCS, pre-made custom or sprout slots ;;
Considering I’ve been able to save up and obtain all the OotS pets and items and nab the other coats with extra funds, I don’t have much interest in capsules or changingshrooms.

As a side note, it was mentioned to me in the past by a staff member that the availability of GCS was being worked on, considering it’s ridiculously hard to obtain one, so that’s why I’m a bit crestfallen.
I do very much appreciate everything staff does, so I hope this didn’t come off otherwise D:

Yay, a raffle! I’ve been waiting for one of these all month. OvO
I’m going to guess the reason there’s no custom or sprout offered this time is because the staff is gearing up for spring, aka sprout season! :D
I’m mostly curious to see when 2015 capsules will start making an appearance. :o

I was also a lil sad that there were no GCS in the raffle (i desperately want a witches brew but cant afford to buy one with currency) but I do understand wanting to keep em rare. I know we just had the profile drive which offered some as prizes so perhaps they are exploring some non standard raffle ways to get them out to people? :) I thought that was a great way to get some into peoples hands

[@courier] Arintol Akira: There isn’t any “large” prize in this raffle because we’ve learned that people like a low-stakes low-commitment raffle from time to time, and we haven’t had one in a while. People also like Glowing Changingshrooms of course! But it can’t be both at the same time, and we opted for the former this time around :)

glitch Sounds about fair! I do like the low stakes raffle, I was excited to see a low ticket cap, so it feels like even if I don’t win it wont be a huge loss :) Thanks for all the variety in the raffles, I have really enjoyed them!

Estimating you probability of winning a prize in a raffle is generally not an easy thing to calculate. It’s easy to forget that in order not to win a prize in this raffle, you actually have to not get drawn 81 times in a row, each time with fewer other-people-owned tickets in the bowl. Since this isn’t particularly easy to eyeball, I just pushed a small change that does the calculation for you — if the number seems high to you, that’s precisely the point :)

Currently (as of the time of this post, with 194 players and 1763 tickets in the bowl):

1 ticket (costing you 100 nuggets) nets you a 6% chance of winning
10 tickets (costing you 1,850 nuggets) nets you a 45% chance of winning
20 tickets (costing you 6,391 nuggets) nets you a 70% chance of winning
Maxing out with 30 tickets (costing you 16,436 nuggets) nets you an 83% chance of winning

You can find your probability of winning right above where it shows you your ticket numbers :)
