Full moon hangs up in the sky
The winds don’t blow, the birds don’t fly
And the dogs sleep where they lie
So it is quiet. Deathly still
The wolves retired - they’d had their fill
of prey atop this shadowed hill
One man only trusts this night
He wanders out and knows no fright
Under the moon so pale and white
An axe in hand but craves no gore
So fear not if you feared before
He just needs wood for a new door!
