The Instance Editor

Near the bottom of the sidebar is the link to the Instance Editor. This is a tool that allows you to modify a specific adventure that’s already been started. There are various situations where this might be necessary — such as putting certain conditions in place to test mechanics further along in larger adventures, or fixing an adventure that may have become softlocked.

Adventurers This section allows you to edit specifics about the adventurers involved in the adventure. In test adventures, stats are set to 10 and cannot be modified from the embark page. If specific stats are needed for functions in the adventure, they can be modified here. This section also allows you to modify the current HP of the adventurer, as well as what items they currently have, and in what quantities.
State This section involves the adventure’s location. From here, you can move the adventure to a different node, trigger or end encounters, as well as marking whether or not they have been successfully completed, and mask or unmask commands.
Variables This section allows you to add, remove, or modify adventure and individual variables.

Careful!
Deleting a variable from the instance editor deletes it from the entire adventure, and it may not be re-added correctly. If you need to remove a variable that’s needed later, rather set the amount to 0.
