Kalindi inhaled appreciatively as she pushed through the door of Sampion’s bakery. It was always awash in wondrous smells, but he had outdone himself today, that was for sure. She slid around the counter, since it was past closing time, and into his domain. “Welcome, my sweet!” he chuckles, bowing her past, making an extravagant gesture with his paw to the table. “Sampion, you didn’t have to…” She laughed and admired the beautifully decorated cake, set next to a box of what was surely homemade chocolates. A simple dinner for two was laid out beside it as well. “I know, but you know me, I love to please, and I know your sweet tooth.” He pulled one of the chairs out in invitation, and the kelph laughed as she sat down in it, looking down and pausing as she noted a little card propped up by her glass. She picked it up, flipping it open, eyes flitting over the text. “I’m better with food than words, but I hope it came out all right. Happy Valentines.” “You did fine, dearheart. Same to you, always,” Kalindi replied as she set the card back down with a smile. It was going to be a wonderful evening.

Various edges of the icy heart are rough and jagged, an indicator that Luvinie had been frantic. It must have been sitting out for some time, as not even enchanted ice is immune to natural elements of warmth. In the end, it could be seen as a token of how Agave’s own warmth has melted away Luvinie’s cold exterior over the years.
