Games are the main way of earning nuggets. There is a daily cap of 3600 nuggets that can be earned through a variety of games, although most games allow you to go slightly over that. Each of the games has different rules and nugget payouts.
The goal of Mycelium is to have the purple mushroom occupy every square on the board. Clicking a square adjacent to one with your mushroom on it will move half the mushrooms over to that square. Clicking the advance turn button or pressing the spacebar will increase the mushrooms on the squares you control to a maximum of 10. The more squares you control, the faster your population will grow.
The mushroom species of Mycelium
There are four other mushroom species also trying to take over the board. Clicking on a square a rival controls will result in a battle between the two colonies, with the victor controlling the square. Larger populations have a greater chance of defeating smaller ones, although it is not guaranteed.
The game ends when the purple mushroom either takes over the board or is completely eliminated.
