Amethyr and Kestryl Aisle Astheryl

The Kingdom has fallen and all is lost
Unprepared to pay the cost
The Sojourner’s cry
The catalyst’s sigh
The breath of change for all is lost.

impulse sprout, hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

A traveler between realms, a brother lost and forsaken to the whims and wills of mortal men. I have lived my years here in wary solitude. The mountain is my sanctuary, the sea my barricade… the forest between my refuge and shelter.

Ama’Thyr is not a dragon, but neither is he human. He is of a race of beings knows as Sojourners, a demihuman breed that lives in a realm between the heavens and mortal plane. They are watchers, guardians and protectors and come to the realm of man to intervene and mitigate the effects of the corrupted magics that plague their land. These magics emerge in the form of crystals, varying in size, shape, and color, but always emitting a strange aura that distorts and changed the natural order around them. It is a sojourner’s duty to guard these fields and keep humans away. Ama’thyr failed.

It wasn’t a solitary failure; his entire clan shared the blame. The humans overpowered them and cast them out, forcing them to live atop the mountain that contained the crystals. That was the best they could do.A kingdom was raised at its base and the mortals fought to invade the mountain and steal the power of the crystals for themselves, but the Sojourners held them at bay. Eventually, after a long war, a treaty was made. The Sojourners would watch the mountain and keep the magic safe, while the human people lived in tranquil harmony. She anything happen to destroy their harmony, a new bloodline would arise and claim the throne and the former would have to make their peace and leave. So this went for generations and generations more. The child born was called the Heir Incarnate of Taelheran and was marked by their eyes as bright as gemstones, with a heart and soul as pure. A Sojourner was placed at their side to play protector and a new order would begin.

However, by the time Tyr’s Heir was born, the one he was meant to protect, he was long gone.  War, a century before, had divided the land in two and he sought shelter on the further coast. Without the magic of the mountain, his power waned and he lived as a mere beast, trapped in his armored form nestled deep within a cave trying to terrorize the villagers as little as possible. That was, until, a young girl, frightened and alone, with a sharp with and quick tongue, soon found herself in his sanctuary. The world began to shift and change around her. The trees grew a little straighter; the natural magic beneath their feet began to flow once more. He looked at her and stared deeply into her amethyst eyes as a distant memory began to rouse him from his mental slumber…

He now works with Kes in her endeavors to reclaim the Kingdom that was taken from her before she’d had a chance to sit in her throne. She in the rightful ‘Heir Incarnate’ or ‘Taelheran,’ and together they shall see it theirs once more.
