Xeros Harkness and Jett Gyver

The Word in Your

Mouth is Anarchy

[Gyver]
> Age 17-20
> Accepted into Falco’s Air Force
> Daydreams in as the train thunders across country to the base, fire and ambition lights the way. His town is fading away like a distant dream, steam trailing behind the train and stars glittering in the sky. It’s like he’s leaving his childhood behind. His excitement is brimming and he has high hopes.
> Cooperates and learns to fly. Ranks up and unfortunately thrust in a short 6 month war.
> Finds military is not what it cracked up to be, has a crisis of feeling like a number.
> “I can’t stop thinking big… there must be more to life… I am meant for so much more.”
> “Am I going where I SHOULD instead of where I WANT?”
> Starts to foolishly back talk and stand up for what he believes in. Gets punished time and again. Takes a fighter plane for a joyride, gets discharged.
> Leaves on a familiar train back home, the path now seemly only passing shadows, the fire gone.
> After reuniting with his parents, he starts to feel the need to do something greater, to break from the past. His ties with the military are broken and his record is soiled.

[Gyver]
> Age 21-23
> Studies engineering with interest in planes still.
> Realizes he has an infinity for complex equations and mechanical understanding of machines.
> Reevaluates and reflects on life, comes to terms with what happened.
> “Maybe the universe has a plan. I just don’t understand it yet. I’m only human, after all. It was just not meant for me.”
> Still has a strong sense of justice and believes that he should not follow other just because he’s told to do so. Often blind men in the market place buy what they are sold. Upset with typical politics, that trusting others easily is not ideal, but still wants to fight for the underdogs.
> Senses that he needs to leave to be happy. After completion of a fighter plane painted much like a P-40 Warhawk, he leaves Falco, aiming to live on the city in the sky called Ironwyne.

[Xero]
> Age 17-20
> Graduates school and immediately is recruited into the Argonilles, an elite group that is expected to regulate Ironwyne. They all wears cloaks and masks to hide their identity. They even do this among co-worker, so only recruiters are aware of their real identity.
> Xero earns the title Clockwork Angel due to his swift spy like ability to stop crimes before they happen. “Like clockwork, he swoops in and swings the sword of judgement.”
> Unbeknownst to his co-workers, he relies on information through illegal tools such as the deep web, rumors with gangs and drug rings, striking deals and letting “large crimes” go unnoticed for personal gain. He also knows the city well and is not against climbing around on buildings and eavesdropping/watching often, sometimes purposely hovering to scare others into living by the supposed law.
> The Argonilles are quite cult like and even have followers that practically worship them. It’s hard to move around without the feeling that you are doing something wrong and are being heavily surveillance…
> Xero becomes quite power hungry, often using the phrase “celestial machinery moves to my command” as a parting phrase or way to end graces.
> He gets a very large following fast, causing strife between the Argonilles.
> Xero is a great singer and is often asked to attend choir sessions with solos, affectionately called the god of light and muse of music, renowned for his grace and supposed beauty under his mask.

[Xero]
> Age 21-23
> Xero became bored. Xero became envied and he knew he would be murdered by another Argonille for the attention he did not really want.
> Xero was a loner at heart that tinkered with chemistry on his off-time. Illegal societal idiosyncrasies fueled his sanity.
> “Will there be world enough and time for me to sing that song?”
> He felt stifled and although popular with common people, he was highly hated in council. His idea were often brushed aside and laughed at.
> Eventually he became silent and decided to let unsavory characters entrance to to the halls. He even gave away his attire and sought to erase his files and kill the few aware of his identity. All but one was murdered through his connections.
> “I plan my vengeance on my own. I was always alone”
> Xero retired and retreated to the slums, content with the chaos he caused.
> He sold enough to get the chemicals and materials he needed. Xero became once again popular, this time for his drugs and his famous muti-colored smoke.
> “In all your science of the mind, seeking to blind through flesh and bone.”
> Xero grew more disgruntled and even less trusting, knowing he would eventually be found out.

[Gyver + Xero]
> Both age 24
> After moving into Ironwyne, Gyver becomes well-known and gets quite the following. Xero naturally hears about him too, but thinks nothing of it.
> The Argonilles are alerted of his new found status. They are looking for new members, but find Gyver’s sense of morality questionable, deeming him more of a threat than anything.
> Gyver finds a place and lives comfortably, offering his services for fixing anything from airplanes to clocks. Some parts are harder to find than others so he ventures into the slums.
> Gyver quickly picks a fight with the locals who don’t have restraint in fighting if they feel insulted. He is quickly outnumbered and beaten to a pulp and blacks out.
> Gyver wakes up in the middle of the night and drags himself to the nearest shop… or he thinks it is. It’s more of a make-shift place people strikes black market deals, but more or less where Xero lives. Xero becomes visibly irate but Gyver passes out before attempting to leave. Xero reluctantly pulls him to a sofa and tends to his wounds.
> When Gyver comes to, he finds Xero asleep across from him in an armchair. He leaves a note and quietly exits… With luck he found some scattered parts in the back room and steals them from Xero…
> “Sometimes the angels punish us by answering our prayers.”

[Gyver + Xero]
> Both age 25
> Gyver finds himself avoiding bad parts of town. Instead, he has taken a liking to street performers in his spare time. He parties with the locals often.
> Gyver becomes enchanted with Leonor, a plant from the Argonilles to find more information about Gyver, due to the trail of mischief he’s left. She’s an acrobat that swallows fire. He becomes close to her, but one day things become curious.
> His place is riffled through and stolen. Gyver immediately recalls Xero and thinks he came to make things even. He tells Leonor and the name piques her interest, considering they marked him as untraceable. Leonore starts to use her feminine wiles to seduce Gyver. He submits to her advances physically, but she wants information and the two start to fight. Gyver doesn’t feel any need to tell her exactly where Xero is or understands why she wants information so badly.
> “What did I see? Fool that I was, a goddess, with wings on her heels. All my illusions, projected on her… The ideal, that I wanted to see.”
> A hooded and masked figure steps in and dismisses Leonore. They take Gyver to the public council for questioning. People he once thought as friends only said negative things and seemed to side strongly with the Argonilles. He’s left overnight tied to a post. He honestly doesn’t have much information, but is deeply disturbed by the mistreatment. Strange hymns were sung before they disbanded.
> Before morning,  flash of rainbow smoke fills the area. Someone unties him and rushes him to a plane he did not build himself. It was Xero.
> He flew the plane out of Ironwyne. Xero explained that people were sniffing around and figured he said something. Gyver asked what he did and Xero was candid. Gyver was unsure about his shady past.
> A storm blew in. The plane was not built to last and the two of them crash.

A man can lose his past, in a country like this
Wandering aimless
Parched and nameless
A Man could lose his way, in a country like this
Canyons and cactus
Endless and trackless

Searching through a grim eternity
Sculptured by a prehistoric sea

Seven Cities of Gold
Stories that fired my imagination
Seven Cities of Gold
A splendid mirage in this desolation
Seven Cities of Gold
Glowing in my dreams, like hallucinations
Glitter in the sun like a revelation
Distant as a comet or a constellation

A man can lose himself, in a country like this
Rewrite the story
Recapture the glory
A man could lose his life, in a country like this
Sunblind and friendless
Frozen and endless

And the nights grow longer, the farther I go
Wake to aching cold, and a deep Sahara of snow

Seven Cities of Gold
Stories that fired my imagination
Seven Cities of Gold
A splendid mirage in this desolation
Seven Cities of Gold
Glowing in my dreams, like hallucinations
Glitter in the sun like a revelation
Distant as a comet or a constellation

That gleam in the distance could be heaven’s gate
A long-awaited treasure at the end of my cruel fate

Seven Cities of Gold
Stories that fired my imagination
Seven Cities of Gold
A splendid mirage in this desolation
Seven Cities of Gold
Glowing in my dreams, like hallucinations
Glitter in the sun like a revelation
Distant as a comet or a constellation

The breaker’s roar
On an unseen shore,
In the teeth of a hurricane,
Oh, we struggle in vain

A hellish night,
A ghostly light,
Appears through the driving rain,
Salvation in a human chain

All I know is that sometimes you have to be wary of a miracle too good to be true,
All I know is that sometimes the truth is contrary everything in life you thought you knew
All I know is that sometimes you have to be wary, ‘cause sometimes the target is you

Driven aground,
With that awful sound
Drowned by the cheer from the shore,
Oh, we wonder what for?

The people swarm
Through the darkling storm.
Gather everything they can score
‘Til their backs won’t bear any more.

All I know is that sometimes you have to be wary of a miracle too good to be true,
All I know is that sometimes the truth is contrary everything in life you thought you knew,
All I know is that sometimes you have to be wary of a miracle too good to be true,
All I know is that sometimes the truth is contrary, ‘cause sometimes the target is you.

The breaker’s roar
On an unseen shore,
In the teeth of an icy grave,
In the teeth of an icy grave

Whoa, the human chain
Leaves a bloody stain,
Washed away in the pounding waves,
Washed away in the pounding waves

All I know is that sometimes you have to be wary of a miracle too good to be true,
All I know is that sometimes the truth is contrary everything in life you thought you knew
All I know is that sometimes you have to be wary, ‘cause sometimes the target is you.
All I know is that memory can be too much to carry striking down like a bolt from the blue
All I know is that sometimes the truth is contrary everything in life you thought you knew

All I know is that sometimes the truth is contrary, ‘cause sometimes the target is you

All the journeys of this great adventure
It didn’t always feel that way
I wouldn’t trade them because I made them
The best I could, and that’s enough to say

Some days were dark
I wish that I could live it all again
Some nights were bright
I wish that I could live it all again

All the highlights of that headlong flight
Holding on with all my might
To what I felt back then
I wish that I could live it all again

I stoke the fire on the big steel wheels
Steer the airship right across the stars
I learned to fight, I learned to love, I learned to feel
Oh I wish that I could live it all again

All the treasures, the gold & glory
It didn’t always feel that way
I don’t regret it - I’ll never forget it
I wouldn’t trade tomorrow for today

Some days were dark
I wish that I could live it all again
Some nights were bright
I wish that I could live it all again

I stoke the fire on the big steel wheels
Steer the airship right across the stars
I learned to fight, I learned to love, I learned to feel
How I wish that I could live it all again

The days were dark
And the nights were bright
I would never trade tomorrow for today

All the highlights of that headlong flight
Holding on with all my might
Some days were dark
I wish that I could live it all again
Some nights were bright
I wish that I could live it all again

I stoke the fire on the big steel wheels
Steer the airship right across the stars
I learned to fight, I learned to love, I learned to feel
I wish that I could live it all again

I stoke the fire on the big steel wheels
Steer the airship right across the stars
I learned to fight, I learned to love, I learned to steal
I wish that I could…

Oh I wish that I could live it all again

I was brought up to believe
Belief has failed me now
The bright glow of optimism
Abandoned me somehow

Belief has failed me now
Life goes from bad to worse
No philosophy consoles me
In a clockwork universe

Life goes from bad to worse
I still choose to live
Find a measure of love and laughter
And another measure to give

I still choose to live
And give, even while I grieve
Though the balance tilts against me
I was brought up to believe

All that you can do is wish them well
All that you can do is wish them well [x2]

Spirits turned bitter by the poison of envy
Always angry and dissatisfied
Even the lost ones, the frightened and mean ones
Even the ones with a devil inside

Thank your stars you’re not that way
Turn your back and walk away
Don’t even pause and ask them why
Turn around and say goodbye

All that you can do is wish them well
All that you can do is wish them well

People who judge without a measure of mercy
All the victims who will never learn
Even the lost ones, you can only give up on
Even the ones who make you burn

Thank your stars you’re not that way
Turn your back and walk away

Don’t even pause and ask them why
Turn around and say goodbye [x2]

The ones who’ve done you wrong
The ones who pretended to be so strong
The grudges you’ve held for so long
It’s not worth singing that same sad song [x2]

Thank your stars you’re not that way
Turn your back and walk away
Don’t even pause and ask them why
Turn around and say goodbye [x2]

All that you can do is wish them well
All that you can do is wish them well
All that you can do is wish them well

Even though you’re going through hell
Just keep on going
Let the demons dwell

Just wish them well

> Years 30 and beyond
> Eagerly looking to adopt their own children and enter parenthood
> Finally ready to settle down in the outskirts of Falco so the children can visit grandparents (Gyver’s parents. Xero never reconnected with his parents because they were not close.)

[OoC]
HOW MANY SPOOTS IS TOO MUCH SPOOTS?
Plan to get first child soooooooon.
Baby girl, what will you bring to these rebellious hearts?

In this one of many possible worlds,
All for the best or some bizarre test?
It is what it is and whatever,
Time is still the infinite jest

The treasure of a life is a measure of love and respect,
The way you live, the gifts that you give
In the fullness of time,
It’s the only return that you expect

The future disappears into memory
With only a moment between.
Forever dwells in that moment,
Hope is what remains to be seen.
