Hoshiko and Jasper

Jasper has been carved for much longer than Hoshiko. He actually is the one that finished Hoshiko’s statue, as nervous as that made him. It was a great relief when she didn’t become one of the Lost as he was sure was going to happen. She’s become something of his confidence since, seeing it as her job to make sure he doesn’t hide away under a rock, too nervous about messing up to actually even ever try. Jasper, in turn, tries to keep Hoshiko’s enthusiasm from getting the two of them into too much trouble.

The rock from Hoshiko’s carving had a strange iridescent quality, and the powder left over has coated the both of them, apparently permanently.

Jasper also gave Hoshiko her Forget-Me-Not Locket right after her carving, to remember the occasion, and wears a matching one he had obtained some time ago so neither of them will forget the event.
