Mulligan Dufour and Pix Corcoran

The eccentric keeper of Evermore Bed and Breakfast and Cafe, Pix has his plate full. His borderline tendencies and eccentric nature often push his patience to their limits and dealing with entitled guests doesn’t help, and neither does dealing with any of his staff. Seeing as how his adopted daughter and his business are his life, he doesn’t often get a proper break. Osmia, his daughter, and his baker, Mulligan, seem to be the only two that can even begin to help lift his spirits.

Mulligan Dufour, better known as Mully by almost everyone he knows, is the baker for Evermore. While baking is his passion, he’s not one for sweets, which is partially why he was hired in the first place. Pix can trust that Mulligan won’t eat any of the merchandise and will always fit into his uniform, just one of the ways Mulligan puts the cat at ease. Of all the staff, Osmia excluded, Mulligan is the only one who seems to know what his job is and how to do it and he does it well. For Mulligan, it means Pix will keep his nose out of the kitchen. For Pix, it means he doesn’t have to worry about calling the baker down for slacking on the job and can focus on other things. The only issues Pix has with the baker are his ever changing fur color and the mismatched items (hair bows, handkerchiefs, among others) the baker constantly carries and seems to insist on either using or handing over to Pix when the cat is at his wit’s end trying to find something for personal use. Thankfully, Pix knows Mully can’t control his fur color and he chooses to see the kindness in Mully’s gestures rather than scold the baker for attempting to help.

Osmia is Pix’s adopted daughter. *insert stuff here*

Mulligan is the breath of fresh air Evermore needed. Laid back and kind, he spends his days baking for Pix’s cafe. Pix rests easy knowing the fox is in charge of his kitchen and does his best not to breathe down his neck.

In Mulligan’s eyes, Pix is a powder keg waiting to go off. A whirlwind going every which way, Mulligan is pleased to know Pix trusts him enough to leave him to his own devices in the kitchen.
