Cin and Syn came into existence together, crafted with care by Nianke (the Moon Goddess) and Rutris (the God of Rituals) to watch over the earth and act as intermediaries between the immortal and mortal realms. They are two parts of a whole and have worked in tandem since their creation to bear secrets, carry communions to the gods, and bring answers back to the people who seek them.
Beings spirits, they don’t know if they can ever experience what the humans call “love”. “Love” is an abstract concept that is difficult to grasp, after all. They think they could call what they share love, though. They cannot imagine life without the other. They feel an inexplicable pull to their other half at all times and understand each other like nothing else can.
If anything dared to come between them, they would rip apart the entire world to set things right again. |
