Once upon a time there was a happy family. Two hatchmates, Ix’kin and Krisek, and their children, Elryx and Zelkyr. Happy until the great disaster struck and all were turned to stone by the Sorceress…

One by one they woke up, deep within the caverns. It took a while but eventually Ix’kin found Krisek and they made a new home with the help of a Troll and an elf. They looked for their children but found nothing. More and more ineki, dras and kelpi awoke from their stony silence but still no sign of their children. Ix’kin was saddened by this but Krisek never gave up. When the magical rumblings got stronger, they found the cavern of spirits and within the glowing gems and jewels, Ix’kin found one that seemed to flutter like a hearbeat. Krisek is convinced it was one of their children and began to look for ways to re-birth their child. Ix’kin countered his quest, claiming it was better they had found at least a memory, and that it was better to start life anew in this new world. |
The Bladedancer didn’t listen and went on longer, and longer journeys. While he was never very good at the magic arts, that was Ix’kin’s forte, he began to study, learning all he could about ways to bring souls back to life. A forbidden spell was found, one that would bind a soul to a flower newly blossomed on the tree. Ix’kin disapproved but Krisek was set on his path. They fought over it and Krisek snapped at Ix’kin, leaving the home they had made to travel to the place he had heard about hiding dark secrets. When he returned, he was covered in fel-green tattoos and had a book in his possession that was made from the Void and a glistening green vial. Ix’kin was no where to be seen but Malis and Rynn cautioned Krisek from delving into such magics. Again he didn’t listen, too tangled up in his obsession of rescuing his children from their past. |
