The intention is that you’ll have 1 active bingo card (per unique group) at a time. So, if you finish your first card in week 2, you’re welcome to start your next card at any point after that first one is done (be it week 2, week 3, several weeks later…). The point will count towards the week you finished the card on, not the week you started it. So, even if you finished your first card and your second card during week 2 of the activity, you’d only be able to get your point for the first card you turn in.

Does that make sense? I know the logistics are a little complicated to explain, so I definitely don’t mind clarifying. 8);

Sorry for the delay getting back to you guys on this! We had to talk it over, but we’ve decided to allow players to continue their current RP thread with a new card after they’ve completed their original bingo. However, due to the relatively limited number of bingo cards available at this time, you may receive a duplicate. This isn’t something we’re going to check or re-roll for.

If you’d like to continue a current RP thread with a second (or third, fourth, etc.) card, please post in the Group Registration thread with a link to the thread you’d like to continue, as well as the names of the players in the group.

I’ll add this into the first post here, and into the Group Registration thread, too.

With the implemented change of being able to ‘refresh’ the card for ongoing RPs (which I’m really happy about!), DelightfulDragon and I have a question about this rule:

One active card per group - you may re-sign up with the same group again once your previous card is complete.

For a specific example: we first signed up with this thread, which we completed a card for. At that point of time, the rule change wasn’t in place to get a new card, so we re-signed up and got this thread on April 8.

We hadn’t yet started anything for it before the rule change, after which we decided to get a new card for our first thread on April 17. But since we still have that second thread, we have some questions:

1. If we started an RP for the second thread, would we be able to claim credit for it if we achieved bingo?
2. Would we be allowed to request a new plot/bingo card for that thread? (Referring to the FAQ question/answer: ‘I’m not comfortable with the plot that got rolled for my group. Can I get another one?’ which states ‘you are welcome to request a new card for your current group at the beginning of the next week of this activity’, and not as in requesting a new card after completing a bingo.) If yes - are we allowed to request it now, as it’s been a week since we asked for the thread to be created, or do we need to wait a week from April 17, when our first thread’s bingo card was rerolled?

1. Yep! You’ll just get the bingo credit for whichever thread you claim bingo in first that week (it doesn’t matter on which week the thread was started, just when you finish your card - so if you get bingo in that thread and another on the same week, you can only get credit for one)
2. You can do so now, since it’s been at least a week since you got that plot rolled up.

I hope that makes sense - no worries about the questions, though! Sorry it took me a bit to get back to you!

Azurrys recently approached us with a fancy spreadsheet she put together to make generating bingo cards easier and more varied! After some discussion, we’ve decided that we will be utilizing this sheet going forward.

This means that new bingo cards generated after this point will appear as a table in bbcode rather than an image as they did previously. This also means that there will be more variation in the cards overall, instead of us just pulling from the same small handful we have created thus far.

Hopefully this change will help shake things up a bit! We will also provide the bbcode for your card in Bone Monster’s post, to make it a bit easier for you to keep track in whatever way works best for you.

I’m still catching up on tallies and new cards, but anything posted before the official beginning of this week will still count towards last week.

• Hopefully this will give everyone ample time to earn the points you need to earn your preferred prizes, without making anyone feel like they need to rush through their bingo cards to do so.
• We will continue to do our best to update bingo cards, points, and prizes once per day. Please be patient with us if there’s a day or two that is missed - it’s a weird time, and we’re balancing running this on top of other Mycena work, offline responsibilities, and other stressors.
• We also hope to put together some way for players to continue to generate plots and such after this is over. This is something we’ll be looking into over the coming weeks - it seems like a great use for the adventure system!

Edit: As a result of this update, I’m going to wait a bit before distributing the prizes that have been requested since last night, just in case this changes anyone’s mind about what they’d like. Feel free to edit your post in that thread if you’ve changed your mind about spending your points!

I’m sorry that you haven’t found a partner yet. Unfortunately, there’s not much we can do about that on our end, but I definitely encourage you to put your feelers out a bit more! Hopefully you find someone soon! You could always post in the group assignment thread, though that is also dependent on other players looking for groups, as well

And I think that would be really neat, if y’all were able to figure out something similar to this to use as an event for the adventure system!! =0 That could be a very good way to both encourage creative engagement with the site and community, and also give folk an excuse to play with the adventure system if they haven’t done much of that yet!!
